Mounting the Burris FastFire RD Optic
The FastFire RD comes factory-ready to mount to a Picatinny rail system. Using the supplied hex wrench, loosen the screw on the right side of the base to open the mount just enough to fit over the width of the rail. Once positioned on the rail, test for proper eye relief and use the wrench to tighten the base screw to 45 in-lbs.
Burris FastFire RD Battery Installation / Replacement
This sight is powered by a single AAA battery. The battery compartment is located on the front of the sight. To open the compartment, turn the cap counterclockwise. Insert the battery with the positive side (+) first and re-tighten cap completely. To preserve battery life, the FastFire RD is equipped with an Auto-Shut Off. The sight automatically turns off after 4 hours on the 4 brightest settings and 8 hours on the 3 night vision settings. During extended storage, it is recommended that you remove the battery.
Burris FastFire RD Red Dot Illumination Adjustment
To turn the red dot on, press any button on the top of the sight. Once the dot is illuminated, the forward and back buttons can be used to select any of the 7 brightness settings. To turn the sight off, press and hold the rear button on top of the sight for 4 seconds.
Burris FastFire RD Windage / Elevation Adjustment
The elevation adjustment screw is located on top of the sight and the windage adjustment screw can be found on right side. Use a small screwdriver to adjust bullet placement up or down and left or right. Arrows on the dial indicate direction of movement. Each click represents 0.5 MOA of adjustment with 110 MOA overall travel for windage and elevation.
