With the new HK VP9A1 Full Size, the best duty pistol is even better. All A1 upgrades to the VP9 revolve around enhancing the connection between serious users and their pistols. The improved trigger, the grip frame, the controls. The HK VP9A1 F (Fullsize) is Optics Ready with a 4.5″ barrel and is available in 3 factory configurations for Law Enforcement:
- VP9F Optic Ready 9MM with three 17rd magazines and night sights
- VP9F Optic Ready 9MM with elevated night sights and three 17rd magazines
- VP9F Optic Ready 9MM with three 17rd magazines, a Holosun SCS red dot optic and night sights
NIJ Compliance – National Institute of Justice (NIJ) has completed its rigorous evaluation of the VP9 against that the NIJ Standard 0112.03 (Revision A) for Autoloading Pistols for Police Officers. The results are clear: the VP9 meets the highest standards set by the NIJ Compliance Testing Program. The VP9 pistol underwent thorough scrutiny, including documentation review and comprehensive testing. The NIJ has determined that the VP9 complies with all applicable requirements, making it a reliable and effective choice for law enforcement professionals.
HK VP9A1 F Full Size Features:
- Higher grip saddle lowers the bore axis for quicker target acquisition, less felt recoil, and faster follow up shots.
- Fully customizable grip – The VP9A1 includes a full set of interchangeable backstraps and side panels to custom fit each gun to any user for grip circumference and length of pull. 45 different configurations are possible.
- 20/17/15/10 round magazines available
- Improved ambidextrous controls are easier to manipulate without being overly obtrusive
- Enhanced trigger has a nickel-teflon coated trigger bar, providing a smoother pull and cleaner break.
- Optics-ready cut with cap. Machined steel adapter plates (sold separately) with integral recoil lugs
- Serrated surface on the frame provides a tactile reference point
- Slides are high strength steel with carbon-nitride “hostile environment” corrosion-resistant finish
- Adjustable length of pull – The VP9A1 now includes a total of five replaceable backstraps. This includes the existing S, M, L backstraps that change the circumference of the grip and two additional extended backstraps that allow you to fine tune the length of pull (the distance from the trigger face to the back of the grip).
- Recess cut on the magazine base facilitates easier removal and/or retention.
- Sight configuration features a high visibility tritium front sight with a clean, black serrated rear
- Cocked firing pin/striker indicator
