Heckler & Koch HK45 Tactical Tan .45 Semi Automatic Handgun
The HK45 Tactical (alongside its little brother, the HK45 Compact Tactical) is the first pistol produced by Heckler & Koch’s new American manufacturing facility, and there is no better handgun to start off this new facility with. Originally developed for the U.S. military’s next generation handgun competition the new HK45 Tactical comes standard with a threaded barrel and Meprolight three-dot tritium night sights.
The HK45T uses our outstanding cold hammer forged barrel and bore with polygonal rifling. Polygonal rifling barrels will outlast the typical “lands and grooves” rifling used in other handguns by thousands of rounds. The HK45T uses an HK proprietary O-ring barrel for precise barrel-to-slide lockup and optimal accuracy.
Using HK’s unique internal mechanical recoil reduction system reduces the recoil forces imparted to the weapon and shooter by as much as 30%, improving shooter control during rapid firing and increasing component service life. The HK45 combines the accuracy, modularity, reliability and minimum 20,000 round service life of the USP45 series with the improved ergonomics of the P2000 series pistols.
The redesigned grip on the HK45T features adjustable backstraps to fit a multitude of hand sizes for optimal fit. An improved USP-style control lever, a combination safety and decocking lever, is frame mounted on the HK45T and is quickly accessible. The HK45T control lever has a positive stop and returns to the “fire” position after decocking. The control lever can also be relocated to the right side of the pistol for left-handed shooters. An optional double-sided control lever can be added for true ambidextrous controls.
The HK45T can be converted to nine different kinds of trigger firing modes including HK’s enhanced double action only “LEM” (Law Enforcement Modification) mode. The HK45T is well suited for military, law enforcement, security use, and civilian sport shooting.
